PROGRAM OPTIONS

1) Multicultural Storytelling

30-45 minute assembly programs designed for primary and intermediate grades. Pleasant tells true tales about his experiences with reading and writing, and interweaves traditional tales dealing with fun, risk, adventure and fulfillment. A brief question / answer session ends each program.

2) Eight Point Plan for Young Authors

45 minute workshop for grades 3-6. In a lively, interactive, and tightly crafted presentation, Pleasant engages student's imaginations and practical thinking skills to create a new story. Using colorful charts, stories and examples, he shares a simple and proven writing process. Educators discover an invaluable teaching tool. (Handouts)

3) Five Point Plan for Very Young Authors

30 minute workshop for grades K, 1and 2. Pleasant uses the same approach described above and shares a simple, yet complete "roadmap" for story making. Children gain confidence to begin using their experience and imaginations in practical ways. And it's fun! (Handouts)

4) Jr. & Sr. High and Educator Programs

Pleasant has extensive experience working with ALL ages and ALL aspects of the educational continuum. He is also an accomplished conference speaker / entertainer.

5) Open Option

Pleasant will work with you to design presentations based on your educational objectives.
